The Inclusive Finance India Initiative, the flagship initiative of ACCESS Development Services, is now ‘Global Inclusive Finance’, which is an intellectual nerve centre for knowledge, tracking progress, experience sharing, celebration, introspection, critique and advocacy for the goal of advancing financial inclusion. Comprising of various sub-initiatives which includes Inclusive Finance India Report (an annual publication), Inclusive Finance India Awards (to recognize and felicitate institutions and individuals in Financial Inclusion) and Thematic and Policy Retreats / Webinars (targeted and focused discussions on a specific topic), the Global Inclusive Finance platform contributes to creation of an enabling ecosystem for effective and efficient access to financial services at the last mile.
It brings together global and India’s leading knowledge communities to share insights on the major challenges in financial inclusion and strives to identify priorities for financial inclusion by connecting policy makers, global leaders and decision makers with scientifically backed insights and cutting-edge data along with views and experiences of various actors in the ecosystem. While in the past, NITI Aayog has been a co-host to the Summit and from 2023 onwards, Global Inclusive Finance Summit is co-hosted by the Department of Financial Service, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

ABOUT THE SUMMIT
The Global Inclusive Finance Summit will be organised on December 16 & 17 2026 in New Delhi. Over the past 20 years, the summit has evolved significantly, making it the largest convening on financial inclusion globally. The summit features over 93 thought leaders from within and outside India speaking in sessions, and it gathers 1,154 delegates (2025) from the government, regulators, policy influencers, financial institutions, technology enablers, investors, academicians, thought leaders, researchers, foundations and private sector players. After more than two decades of building momentum around inclusive finance, the Global Inclusive Finance Summit brought together a greater convergence of diverse global perspectives from thought and practice leaders who are integral to shaping the future of financial systems. This year, the summit will feature a few international panels with global thought leaders.
